MAP
Service

Create your own currency, serving your territory.

We have the solution, built with you. A scheme holder, users, participating suppliers and rules of use. We settle how the programme is organised, the financial services and the full circuit, from funding to redemption.

You want to…

You want spending to stay in your area, with the shops and producers that work there, and to be able to show it.

Concrete benefits

What this service changes for your teams.

Spending stays inside the network

Earmarking is the rules you set before the spend. By geographic area and by list of participating suppliers, it frames the use across a town, a department or a region.

A network that is administered

Shops joining, funding, payment, collection and redemption: each step has its journey and its owner.

An indicator of local use

The share of payments made with participating suppliers over the period. That ratio measures use, not additional economic impact.

Scope of the service

The core of the service, and what is set with you.

The core is the same for every programme. What varies from one programme to the next is set with your teams, before the first spend.

What the service covers

  • Electronic money is euros that MAP issues against the euros paid in, one for one. With the rules of use and the tracking, it forms the basic services described by MAP.
  • Earmarking by geographic area: town, department, region, France.

What we set with you

  • Every territorial programme is built with its scheme holder, with no model carried over unchanged from one area to another.
  • The difference between a budget in euros limited to local suppliers and a genuine complementary local currency, to be examined with competent advisers.
  • The eligible scheme holder, the governance, the joining process, the network and conversion.
  • The full circuit: funding, spending, collection, redemption, and recirculation between shops only if it is part of how the programme is organised.

An example for a buyer

A territorial scheme holder, or a network of shops.

A territorial scheme holder wants to offer a digital local currency with participating shops. MAP provides the financial and technical services, without standing in for the scheme holder.

Deliverables and how it works

What we put in place with you.

  • The study of how the programme is organised and the charter of the network.
  • The journeys for joining, funding, paying and redeeming.
  • The administration of the network and the indicators of local use.

Conditions and proof

What this service is not, and what we demonstrate.

Proof expected before any commitment

Before any commitment, we validate the legal characterisation and the roles. Then we test a full circuit: funding, spending, collection and redemption.

Frequently asked questions

The questions asked about this service.

What is an earmarkable digital euro?

Euros, on a real account, that can only be used for what you have decided. You set the rules before the money is spent: who, when, how much, where and what for. It is electronic money, issued one for one against the euros you pay in. It is neither the Eurosystem’s digital euro project nor a bank deposit.

Understanding electronic money

What can I decide for my programme?

Who, when, how much, where and what for. You choose the registered beneficiaries, the ceilings per transaction, per day or per month, the period, the authorised suppliers or categories, the geographic area. You allow online payment and cash withdrawals, or you do not. For example: €600.00 per household, at food suppliers in the chosen area, for three months.

Earmarking of uses

Can MAP be integrated into a platform?

Yes. The journey, the interfaces and the responsibilities are defined with your technical teams, from the first conversation. The interfaces opened to your programme are set out there. They are opened programme by programme, not as a self-service catalogue.

Integration

How much does a programme cost and when can it start?
The terms and the timetable depend on what is covered, the uses, the number of users and the integration. No price and no lead time are announced on this site. A MAP expert will get back to you, with no commitment.
