MAP
Services

Build your programme from MAP services.

You want to fund a specific use, keep control of the rules and prove every payment. We have the solution: five basic services and two deployment modes, which you combine to fit your programme. You choose who, when, how much, where and what for.

The journey of the funds

From collection to tracking: five steps and one proof.

The services follow the money, in the order your programme needs. You can activate only part of them. The earmarkable digital euro is euros, on a real account, that can only be used for what you decided. Example: a local authority pays in €600.00 per household, usable with the suppliers chosen.

  1. 01 Collection Funds come into the programme. One funder or several contributors: every payment stays linked to the programme it finances.
  2. 02 Money MAP issues euros against the euros you pay in, one for one: that is electronic money. This earmarkable digital euro is allocated to your programme.
  3. 03 Earmarking Earmarking is the rules you set before the spend: who, when, how much, where and what for.
  4. 04 Payment Every beneficiary gets a real account and a universal payment card: in shops, online, by QR code or from the app.
  5. 05 Tracking Operations can be read in real time, according to each person’s role. The funder finds every payment.

Every payment is recorded and nobody can change it afterwards: a tamper-proof blockchain, and a check before execution.

The proof covers the payment: amount, supplier, date, rule applied. It does not cover the contents of the basket or the delivery. No personal data is written to the chain.

Basic services and extensions

The basic services, and what is added to them.

The basic services move funds from a funder through to a supplier. The extensions change the way the programme presents itself to its users.

The five basic services

Fund collection
Bring the money into the programme and link it to what it finances.
Programme electronic money
Issue the earmarkable digital euro, backed by the euro one for one.
Earmarking and rules of use
Write the rules of use and check 100% of operations before execution.
Accounts and payments
Give every beneficiary a real account and a universal payment card, not a prepaid card.
Traceability and blockchain proof
Record every payment on a tamper-proof blockchain and give the proof to those entitled to it.

These five services cover the full journey of the funds, from collection to tracking. It is the journey the Poto solidarity programme follows.

The extensions, two modes

White-label programme
Your brand at the front, MAP’s financial services behind it, each party’s role written down and shown to users.
Local currency and territorial programme
A spending network serving one area: a scheme holder, participating suppliers, rules of use and tracking.

These two modes rest on the same basic services: they change who carries the brand and what the programme covers.

Four combinations

Four ways to compose a programme.

Each combination starts from a buyer and a need, then shows the services chosen and the possible options. We start from your situation to settle the combination that fits.

Finance department or head of a network

A framed company budget

Fund specific purchases without losing track of the programme.

Services chosen
Programme electronic money · Earmarking and rules of use · Accounts and payments
Options
Traceability and blockchain proof · White-label programme

An identified funder, suppliers that can be reached and rules that can be tested. Collection from several contributors is not needed if the company funds the programme on its own.

Foundation or programme team

Collection that goes all the way to payment

Bring several contributions together, then account for their use.

Services chosen
Fund collection · Programme electronic money · Earmarking and rules of use · Accounts and payments · Traceability and blockchain proof
Options
White-label programme

A clear allocation rule and viewing rights accepted by each party. There is no need to create a branded currency to explain the programme.

Software vendor or B2B platform

Payments inside a branded product

Enrich your own product with a payment programme.

Services chosen
White-label programme · Programme electronic money · Accounts and payments
Options
Fund collection · Earmarking and rules of use · Traceability and blockchain proof

Confirmed available interfaces, contractual responsibilities and an integration budget. Not every service is embedded in the first release.

Territorial scheme holder or local network

A local payment programme

Make spending easier inside a network of participating suppliers.

Services chosen
Local currency and territorial programme · Programme electronic money · Earmarking and rules of use · Accounts and payments
Options
Fund collection · Traceability and blockchain proof · White-label programme

The legal characterisation of the programme, the governance of the network, shops that can be mobilised and the funding of the service. Blockchain and local currency are not synonyms, their value is assessed separately.

Conditions for setting up

What must be in place before a programme starts.

We do not commit to a deployment without these four elements. They are decided at the first meeting, with your teams and your advisers.

An identified funder

Who provides the funds, in what form, for which programme and for how long.

Rules that can be tested

Rules of use written down and verifiable before the first spend, and what happens when a payment is refused.

Suppliers that can be reached

The shops, networks or providers where the spending must be possible, in store and online.

Roles written down

Who issues the money, who runs the programme, who answers users and who keeps the proof.
